Imprint Projects were created by artist Benjamin Archibald as a way for individuals to come together through art. Participants leave their fingerprints on a shared canvas, each one forming part of a larger image that reflects both personal identity and collective creativity. With Ben Archibald leading the process, a single fingerprint becomes a lasting artistic contribution.

The first Imprint Project began when I wanted to donate a painting to a fundraiser auction that carried real emotional and monetary value. I imagined a community painting together on one canvas, creating something far more meaningful than a solo work, and using that shared energy to inspire pride in the young participants.
I hoped that knowing their mark was part of a piece that sold for a high price would plant seeds of confidence and creative worth. Signing the canvas was not practical, so the idea of fingerprints emerged. Each child could leave a unique, expressive mark that became both their signature and a symbol of their identity within the work.

I provide a fully guided experience, from design to completion. Participants of all ages are invited to leave their fingerprint on a pre-designed canvas, making it accessible and engaging for everyone. The final artwork becomes a lasting, meaningful display, perfect for commemorating an event, honoring a cause, or showcasing the spirit of a community.
These projects celebrate community, inclusion, and shared purpose. They highlight the beauty of individual identity while demonstrating the power of working together. Whether created at a school, fundraiser, festival, or corporate event, each Imprint Project serves as a visual reminder that when we all contribute, even in small ways, we create something truly impactful.

Encourages individuals to come together, learn about one another, and contribute to a shared artistic vision.

Suitable for all ages and abilities, making it accessible for diverse groups and participants.

The final artwork serves as a lasting representation of the collective effort, perfect for display in public spaces or as a meaningful gift.
